I've noticed a problem with siri that is starting to annoy me. Siri will work as expected for a few days. Then for no reason, I go to do something with siri, and it refuses to work. When i press the home button I get the tone for siri. I'll tell siri whatever i want it to do, and i get the beep that tells me siri has understood what i wanted. But it will not do what i told it to do. It just sits there on the screen with the listen button and the help button. I've been able to fic this by disabling and renabling siri, but having to do this every other day or so is really annoying.
This is only a suggestion.
Because Siri is based on your internet conection, are you sure when it is not working you are connected?
You are either connected with your cellular provider, or you are on WiFi. If neighter is active, you have no service, but she will talk, just can't complete the task.
You can lose conection many ways.
I'd call my provider and ask about this.
You may not have to disable and reenable it, I have also noticed this with iOS 7. All I usually need to do is press the home button to exit siri and then press and hold the home button again. I am quite confident it's an iOS 7 thing, because I've never had this happen on my iPhone 5, which still runs 6.1.4.
I checked my wifi and it said three of three bars.
I have used Skott's suggestion and it seems to fix things. Hopefully IOS 7.1 irons out that bug.
I have used it a well. Sometimes, it fixes the issue, other times it doesn't.
Ah, so than it is one of these issues, some have, others don't.
I honestly wonder how the same program can work so differently on different devices? It is odd.
I don't have the problem, and have the 5S.
the 5 had issues apart from having issues with serie. Hmm... not sure why serie would be acting odd. Honestly it seems she is being taken out to the cleaners by google search. :) Its accessible if you want to try it.
I've used google search, and I think it has some more functions than siri does.
this is true. It happens to me as well but i just press the home button and try it again. It's IOS
Google Voice Search certainly has it's strong points. The biggest weak point is that it's not built in to the OS and so you can't do things like send email, texts, and so forth. If you're bored, and want to listen to a comparison between Siri and Google Voice Search, you can find one Here
Note that another draw-back to Google Voice Search is that it appears to only be available in the US. Pretty stupid restriction, but there it is.
um.. no its not restricted to the Us, if it were then a user who is a part of that android show could be ranting about this exact issue but he uses it in the UK. Sense IOS is apple, google now is googles product what makes a person think that google now will ever be allow any sort of entagration into IOS In android its most certainly baked into the os in kitcat right down to the home screen. Please research before posting article on google search next time lol.
